The hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser automatically transmits to us. This includes:

If you send me an enquiry using the contact form, I store the details you provide, including your contact details, to process the enquiry and handle any follow-up questions. The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent) or Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract).

I do not share this data with third parties without your consent. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or when you withdraw your consent to its storage.

No tracking or marketing cookies

Audience measurement without cookies

So that I know which articles are read, this website counts page views with its own solution, running on my hosting at Microsoft Azure (West Europe region). No cookies are set and no information is stored on or read from your device; nothing is passed on to third parties and no profile is built across websites or days.

For each page view we record: the page visited, the website you came from (domain name only), campaign parameters in the link (e.g. utm_source), the device category (desktop, tablet, mobile) and the browser's preferred language. Your IP address is not stored. Together with the browser identifier and a random value that is generated anew every day and deleted after two days, it is used only briefly to form a pseudonymous visitor ID for that single day. Once the daily value has been deleted, this ID can no longer be linked to anyone.

The legal basis is my legitimate interest in data-minimising audience measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Raw data is deleted after 13 months. If your browser sends “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”, your visit is not counted. You may also object to the processing at any time; a short message via the contact form is enough.

Managing cookie settings

You can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are set and allow them on a case-by-case basis, reject cookies in specific cases or generally, and automatically delete cookies when you close the browser.

Please note: Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of our website, as we use only strictly necessary cookies.

This website contains links to Instagram and Strava. These services are operated by their respective providers. Clicking these links takes you to the corresponding platforms. I have no influence over how these providers process data.

Important: My website does not embed social media plugins or tracking pixels from these services. Data is exchanged only when you actively click the links.
