#lifeworktrailbalance

Let’s build.

I became an entrepreneur to bring my ideas to life.

Today, I have new tools to do that. AI opens up possibilities. Experience helps me make something of them.

What I’m building.

Three projects. Different problems. The same drive to make something useful.

EndurancePal

Your race. Your plan. One aid station at a time.

Plan your fuel for an ultra: along the course, with actual products and a plan you can return to and adjust.

ShapeRun

Give your next run a shape.

A heart on a map. A running route on real streets. ShapeRun looks for ways to turn a shape into a run.

Why I build

The ideas were always there.

I started my company because I wanted to bring ideas to life.

But in the day-to-day running of an IT company, my own ideas often had to wait. Customer projects needed attention. There were never enough people or enough capacity for development, marketing and sales to do everything at once.

Today, AI gives me ways to try things out and develop them that I didn’t have before. An idea can become something tangible much sooner. I can see whether it helps, find its limits and keep working on it.

More than 20 years of software development come into play at every step: understanding the problem, choosing the architecture, thinking through the data and checking what actually works. That experience helps me use these new tools well.

And that gives me more room to do what I wanted to do all along: build my ideas.

More about me

How I work

From “what if” to “try it”.

  1. 01

    Start with a real problem.

Something from everyday life, a conversation or my own experience. Who would this help, and what would become easier?

  2. 02

    Build something you can use.

Keep the scope focused, choose a fitting architecture and use AI where it helps. Then check the result, including the awkward edge cases.

  3. 03

    Learn from actual use.

Put it in front of people, listen and improve it. Each project page shows what already works and what I am still figuring out.

A conversation is a good start

Does one of these ideas speak to you?
