A World Championships special with Trail Magazin
Trail Magazin, the leading German-language specialist trail running magazine, invited me to join its World Championships special. Live from Innsbruck, I reported on the 2023 World Mountain and Trail Running Championships with host Benni Bublak.
Live from a home World Championships
The episode was released on 6 June 2023, during championship week. Joining the podcast as both a participant and an expert at a home World Championships was a special experience for an Austrian athlete.
Topics in the episode
We discussed:
- The championship atmosphere in Innsbruck: what is life like as an athlete at such a major event?
- The Vertical: a preview of the race that climbs steeply over a short distance
- Trail running in Austria: why Innsbruck and Tyrol are such fitting hosts
- My personal perspective: what the championships mean to me as an athlete
